1996
EP length CD. Four songs, six tracks (including 2 radio length edits) – 36 minutes of original uplifting pop-funk … infectious grooves, melodies that linger and powerful lyrics.
"Cover Girl" is pure pop, about our deep dark belief that we are just "not good enough" and how we "cover up the inside" and try to win approval through our physical appearance. The full-length version includes an amazing drum feature.
"Hunger Trance" is a dreamy and hypnotic questioning of physical desires, and the haunting cruisy music and airy vocals transport you into a state of meditative delight, with the fantastic guitar outro of Peter Northcote.
"Whatever You Do" is a cheerful and gentle rap, a reminder of one of life’s unchangeable laws … "Whatever you do will come back to you."
"Hunger Dance", picks up where Hunger Trance leaves off, exploding into a driving beat and a frenzy of wailing guitar and whispery vocals. Eight and a half minutes of wild and passionate dance groove driven by unrelenting acoustic drum accuracy, not drum machines. All the power of a machine with the subtle dynamics of a human being!
