DAVID JONES ENDORSES PDP/DW DRUMS & HARDWARE
... AND NEW DAVID JONES SIGNATURE STICK WITH VIC FIRTH!
In September 2008, David Jones moved to a worldwide endorsement with PDP/DW Drums after seven months of research and very careful consideration. After 14 years with Premier UK, this was an important decision both musically and in terms of global support. Due to the dynamism and vision of the guys at InterMusic, Ben Cuthbert and Danny Boldiston, a complete photo shoot and four-capital city tour was put in place in November, 2008. Certainly a wise move! And the sound and tone of the drums were far superior to all the other brands that David evaluated.
Following this move, all other endorsements, with companies Sabian Cymbals, Evans Drumheads, Vic Firth Sticks, were reinvigorated. So much so, that a new signature stick was introduced through Vic Firth in early 2009. A new era for David!
This coincided with a series of sold out shows in May, 2009 for his solo concerts ‘Colours of the Drums’.
The PDP/DW National Tour continued with clinics in smaller cities right through NSW and VIC in May and June, 2009. More dates are planned in the coming months
